Almost as bad as the Amiga 3000 I took in that wouldn't boot. Turns out it had black mold growing all over the back of the mainboard
The moron put his computer table under his apartments air conditioner, which seems to have been slowly leaking onto the back of the case. It apparently was prevented from shorting outright due to the board being mounted horizontally on 3/8" spacers, which left room for the water to collect.
Got a picture here somewhere.....I'll see if I can find it.

About 1/3 of those pics are attributable to just being stupid enough to not keep the toddlers out of the computer room. The rest are just sad..Comment

Sadly a lot of people should never open a computer box. They should just return it saying bought in error too stupid to use it.
No there should be a test when they go in a shop. If they fail they're escorted off the premises and added to a hit list in case they go somewhere else.Comment

I can relate to the fuzzy one.. the worst are people who smoke in front of their computer.. sticky yellow dust bunnies inside.. yuck!

I've seen plenty of machines with the dust . . . err tar bunnies. THat's why I always carry a can of compressed air around with me in my tool box.Comment

I've accidently gotten a CD stuck inbetween 2 5 1/4 drive spots when I wasn't paying attention while putting it into a drive.
