    Engrish, do you speak it??

    Well? I found this site that puts together Engrish sayings that are found in Asian counries... pretty funny stuff.

    Seems English and most Asian languages don't always translate well, and the results are often hysterical. I just noticed a link from that page to the following: http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/ which will allow you to make your OWN "Engrish" by translating an English phrase into Japanese, and then (using cut and paste) back to Engrish.

    Look what it came up with:
    Original sentence:
    I had a typhoon once, but i let it go in my pants and it made a mess so my parents made me throw it away.

    Translated to Korean and then from Korean back to Engrish:
    Me one time there will be a typhoon, but the inside my pants and me, it it will enter to make soul it will catch and and it made and to be like that threw and in my by the parents me it it did far.

    HAHA! WHAT?

      calpis is actually pronounced carupisu.
      mind your first time i saw it i nearly fell over laughing.

      English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

          Lol, yeah, I've actually seen "Calpis" in the states in some asian shops. Except it was spelled "Coolpis." I kid you not. Jay Leno had a carton of the stuff on his show, it was pretty funny.
