For some time now, I notice a file simply named "~" (minus quotes of course, no extension) will pop up on my PC from time to time. I found it once when going through folders, and it just "appears" on my desktop sometimes too. WHAAT the hell app is doing this?!?

it's a bug introduced by one of the MS updates.
iirc it's supposed to be part of your address book & will reappear after you delete it if you add a new person into your address book.Comment
