    Ooops I mean't Mandrake 9.1.

    Basically I've been letting Redhat 9 patches build up them download them all in one go. The patches for this system have been out stripping windoze updates for the last few months.

    One reason why people don't patch office is that theres a lot less noise about exploits in office. The last one hardly got a mention. Certainly I think windoze and office update should be combined.

      I don't recall having to patch/fix FreeBSD nearly as often as anything else, though I do make a fair amount of kernel recompiles (especially if I **** it up the first time ) during initial setup on a box.

        Yeah, I know that MS needs to consolidate. They take FAR too long between XP service packs.

          I have a running collection at home that I burn and take everywhere. Now for some reason they are not including the service pack number in the name of the update!!! WTF! So now after the service packs, I have to go back through the files and see which ones were included and delete them.
