Santa brought me a FACTORY SHOP MANUAL for my 93' Lexus GS300.
2 volumes totaling 1700 pages of Lexus goodness.
They made so few of this design that there are NO after-market manuals.
I have been frustrated.
Now I am not.

LOL. Luckily Toyotas, which is what Lexus realy is, are not built like that.
Thier shop manuals are very practical.

If I remember correctly, the older GS300 is based on the Toyota Supra. You should be able to turn it into quite the monster!

I have a few old 'british Leyland' workshop manuals (all original). I got them when a local library was rotating stock - they used to destroy thousands of duplicate books - or tatty ones - at library hHQ where I worked (15 years ago now)....

I have a manual for Spitfires - 2 of - different years, Triumph 2000 Mk 1, Stag, and one for MGB GT's

It would scare you the stuff the recommend - and the amount of 'finishing' they expected garages to do upon delivery....

Very useful service info though..... Though the 2000 doesnt give a service schedule above 200,000 miles - (mine is @ 175K and the engine is going strong - (pity about the rest of it ! )

Not the Supra, that's the Lexus "SC" line.

The 93-97 GS 300s were based on the Toyota Arista.
That model was never imported into the US.
Bigger than the ES300 and smaller than the LS400.
It has the same DOC inline 6 that the supra Twin Turbo has, without the turbos. (and no, they won't fit because of the engine/firewall placement)
Great trip car: fast, quiet & roomy.

There aren't many of them, and virtualy none for sale.

If you have alot of money to spend, there are alot of reliable cars. If you want to spend under $30k, you are limited in your choices if you want a drive-it-and-forget-it car. Hondas and Toyotas are the best in this price range.
