          infact I beleive I saw a neghbourhood dog stuck to the fire hydrant

                yes but the odd bit of snow would be nice sometimes. -20 is too cold but is a bit of snow toooo much to ask for?

                  You guys from Toronto are all wimps.... Come taste the cold in Winterpeg. We were almost -40 the other day with wind chill, but it wasn't that bad.... it was a "dry" cold
                  Alcohol and Drugs make life tolerable.

                    No thanks.. I did my time in Thunder Bay.. 2 years worth, having to walk 1KM to class in -40+... never again!

                      yes, constant -20 here in Thornhill, Markham without the wind. Around -35 with the wind.

                              We're having a cold snap at the moment, too. ~`10°C in the early afternoon and it dropped to 2°C during the night. We've also had rather unusually more rain in December, but it was mild right through to Hogmanay. The forecast is a rise of ~1° over the next few days but more rain/thunder -- it's actually clouding over now. Probably have to start heating water as from tomorrow; had a scalding shower this morning from the solar panels and yesterday's sun
