How do you have your browsers cache set to operate?

Just curious more than anything, how do you have the behaviour of your browsers cache set?

I'm using IE6 and have the "check for newer versions of stored pages" set to "everytime you start IE." Under the security heading in the advanced menu I have it set to clear the temporary internet files cache when the browser is closed to keep the files from making a mess on the disk.

Mine is set to check for new versions of the page on every visit, on the theory that it reduces the time my computer spends refreshing stored pages. Not 100% sure it works that way, though. I also have the size of my internet cache set to 100MB. The less space used on that garbage, the better. Then I manually clear the cache every week or so.
