I Think it might be Kaizen.
The ideology behind "Kaizen Costing" is downsizing through ever increasing efficiency.

It can also be translated unto the more english "Lean production".

I'm working on a streamlining project at the moment - 2 and a half days a week for the next three months or so to redevelop our global planning processes and systems from 6 months to 10 years out. The only problem is that I get to keep all 5 days a week of my normal job... I guess that's why it cuts costs - everyone is forced to work 50% harder...
