                      I heard they were using Windows XP, but they forgot to disable System Restore.

                      From what I understand, both rovers are operated by tiny Southern California drivers. Spirit's mini-Californian (Todd) drove it off a cliff while distracted by a cell phone conversation with Opportunity's driver (Chip). Now Opportunity's driver is depressed and claiming his chakra's misaligned. Now Nasa has to get a yogi up to Mars to realign Chip's chakra.
