    Italy 1- 1 Sweden

As expected Italy and Sweden provided a game worth watching.
Italy dominated the first half tried to finnish it off early into the 2nd half before resorting too type.

Good subs by Sweden brought them into the game more as well. The equalising goal was a beauty.

It's going to be a shame though if Italy go out as they're a good side. They're now hanging in there by a narrow thread. Bulgaria will probably get a real thumping.

Ah, it's good that I'm young and healthy!!! My heart got a good massage during this game. We played very bad in the first half, mainly because the italians were very very good, but still unacceptable. If we're going to win this cup we can't give away a game like that!

Zlatan scored the most beautifull goal so far in the tournament, so I'm happy! Now I can go to sleep with a smile on my face!

Italy played excellent, and it should've been 3-0 after the first half. I knew Sweden was gonna score when they were pushing. It was almost exactly a copy of the Germany-Holland game.

I kept telling myself: 2nd goal, Italy needs a 2nd goal. And once again i was right. This is the EURO of brutal last minute losses/draws.

So there's no overtime and you just end up with draw? That's weird.

Those are group matches, no overtime there. 4 teams per group, each plays with everybody, in the end the first two in each group get through to play in the quarterfinals.

In quarterfinals, semifinals and final you have overtime since there's only one team that goes through and you must have a winner.

            Americans...

thop now that I think of it you're right. The game resembled the Germany-Netherlands game, although this game had a much higher tempo and intensity.

Yep agreed, it was on a higher level than the Germany-Holland game.

Now that I have calmed down a bit, I wonder why on earth Trappatoni took out Cassano...

He was clearly the best italian. Furthermore he took out some offensive players and put in some defensive subs and by that he invited us to take over the game, typically Italian coaching. If I was an italian I wouldn't be happy with his cowardly coaching...but then again I ain't complaining!

Very good game. Some very nice fast attacking football by the Swedes in the second half. Italy, as usual, switched to defensive/counter attack play, and i was thrilled that Ibrahimovic scored such a masterpiece of a goal, because for me, Sweden played a bit more attacking/fast/attractive football in the second half. Congrats to both Italy and Sweden, truly a great match.

Excellent match. See, now if Italy had stuck to what got them in front, maybe Sweden would not have drawn the match. I'm happy though as I don't like Italy in football, just as I don't like Germany (lots of respect for both teams though) I am rooting for an England France final though that seems unlikely at the moment. I think the Czech republic are a very good side and would not be surprised if the won the whole damn thing

I think Denmark will go out as they didn't score enougth against the pathetic Bulgari side. Italy will score loads against them.

Italy hardly ever scores loads. Italy goes home as does Germany unless Czech republic doesn't give a shit
