    1000 lbs w/9 inch tusks?



    While some doubt it I don't. I've seen hogs of well over 650 lbs, so 1000 isn't too much of a stretch.

          Sounds like bullshit.

          He has only a picture as proof. They buried the beast on the property somewhere because the meat of such large beasts is typically not good and the head was too big to mount.

              If it was true they shouldn't have shot it!!!

              As High_Jumbllama said its a waist, the meat is not good given the size.

              Believe me I know, I used to hunt Wild Bore myself and we don't go for large animals only mid size to small.

                I've hunted boar as well. I'd prob. have let it be a breeder.

                That said there's not much better eating than a pit-roasted hawg w/all the trimmings
