For those who didn't figure it out (like me), the guy in the background is Gabe Newell (the guy in charge of Valve, Half-life and Half-life 2 production, etc). They transposed his face (like I'm supposed to know what Gabe Newell looks like) over the face of a Doom 3 monster.
