Had a new customer today - email problems - easy one I thought. 3 computers networked together...
He could receive but not send - said someone in the office had been messing and now all sorts of weird things going on but the main thing was borked email . So being methodical I start following wires - find an isdn box and start line testing, pings etc.
Gets a bit weird when he seems to be paying for a dial up connection but has ISDN.. ok. More rooting about and..
....he has broadband also. Turns out this guy is paying for 56k modem dialup, 2 isdn lines and 1mb broadband and he uses - one of the isdn lines.... gah ... messy
