          "Reeve was being treated at Northern Westchester Hospital for a pressure wound that he developed, a common complication for people living with paralysis. In the past week, the wound had become severely infected, resulting in a serious systemic infection."

                                  In the end, yes.

                                  The actual cause of death was a heart attack that left him in a coma, which then led to his demise. The pressure wound/infection sure set the ball rolling to the end though.

                                  For those of my generation he truely was a "Superman" for the courage with which he fought his affliction. Today is truely a sad day.....
