I had to get to the "Borg Cube" with maximum shields and use maximum dodge and lock (onto the orbs, as many as I could) and fire. Once you get rid of most/all of them, it should die. It's the toughtest SOB in the game I've seen so far. Once it's gone, the last level should be a sinch. Most important is to look at the pattern the enemy shoots you, especially the bosses.
