    Eriks first effort with Photoshop

    He used Photoshop + my graphics tablet & stylus; mastering the color picker, brush types & sizes, the lasso, eyedropper, eraser, paint bucket, Edit/Cut and the buttons on the stylus. He even did the printer setups himself.

    Not too shabby for a 1st grader, but then I'm prejudiced

    That's actually quite good for a 1st grader. My son's not there yet in terms of writing/drawing utensil control (holds too high up still). He's largely mastered the computer though, as your son obviously has as well.

    Hopefully he got a nice big hug or something for such a good job

      I wish I could draw that good.

      No, really. I do.

        Don't worry....he got 'em from both Mom and Dad and a lot of smily's in IM's from his brothers & sister. Yeah....he can work AIM too, albeit with a restricted & locked buddy list.

        We all especially liked the pictographic "I love you" at the middle left

        We're convinced this kind of encouragment is what drives him, along with a s***load of curiosity. Keeping that brain fed is becoming a full time job. This is what he's currently reading (intently!!);

          For a 1st grader using Photoshop, it's actually quite good. I'm impressed.

          My drawings at that age were about the same, except I didn't have the "paint bucket" option with my crayons so I often colored outside the lines.

              maybe i should teach my little bro how to use it too, instead of playing NFSU on his comp all the time
