    Decoratting the tree

    just decorating the tree, anyone else?
    actually I'm enjoying a cold draft and watching my wife and kids decorate it
    Hey, I did the hard part - had to wrestle it in the house and prop it up, level it and put the lights on. That's enough reason to enjoy a cold one.

              Decorated ours last weekend; an 8 footer.

              LOTS of handmade and antique glass ornaments, plus a few newer ones hand-blown by yours truly using lab glass, and not a few antique lights (bubble lights, large bulbs etc.).

              There are also hand-strung popcorn/cranberries, pickles and the Santa light that's been in my family since I was 1 year old. I called him 'nan-na-taus' back then

                                                      I think the stringing of lights has been left to me. Our house is a good deal larger than the one we were in the previous Christmas, so that means more fun for me on the roof, white knuckled. Truly though, it all becomes worth it Christmas morning when I see my kids grinning from something other than being mischievious.
