English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

Strange.. turn on ICQ Tony, and well chat about what the code is doing... need some real time talk on that.

What about placing an ad strip both on the top and bottom of the page.

I have to say I prefer the black text than the original blue.

(and this is what I mentioned over ICQ, for the navbars at the top of a forum view: this way, the navbar stays on one line, making it easier to use)

those link to my paypal, its just an override of the google public service ads.

Which us non americans seem to get a lot of, just tweaking the html still so the images do cache.

I dislike the add at the bottom, a lot.

you dislike the ad or you dislike the server fund ad?

the server fund ad only appears, in place of a google public service ad. i.e. when there are no valid google ads to display.

I dislike the fact that there is an ad added at the bottom, regardless which. I display 40 posts per page, so the top ones get lost quick enough. Especiall since we have the forum nav thingie at the bottom now as well (which is kewl), I don;t get to top anymore. The ad between the bottom post and the navi & reply box is annoying to me though. It's also out of place and messes up the lay-out (not technically, but from an aestethic (?) POV.

well as stated previously, I am currently running tests to see which ads get clicked the most - apart from contractual obligations to not request clicks, it also lets me see, which ad placements generate the most revenue.

Within the next week or so, I will have a fair idea of which ad placements are doing any good, and which ones are wasted space.
