Amazing what sort of disasters you can come up with when you think on a geologic time scale. There was 2 1/2 hours of good mayhem television Tuesday with the Nova about the tsunami and then a special about Krakatoa. So why do so many people live in Indonesia again? Seems like disaster central. Wonder what the Toba caldera is up to lately.. or Tambora.. according to that show, Krakatoa has built itself up to almost the same height it was in 1883 before it blew.. over 2000ft of mountain built up between 1929 and now!
