          I've still got to get around to watching #2 some day. X-Men used to be my favorite comic as a kid (still have the collection).

              I've heard that said many times. I don't know how I let that one slip by me (though I rarely will go to the theatre). It's showing on the premium channels now so I'll get to it soon.

                Kelsey Grammar will be fine as Beast. Remember that Beast will be nearly 100% CGI, and he was always supposed to have an irritating, ultra-smart demeanor. Kelsey Grammar does that VERY well.

                What concerns me more is that Bryan Singer won't be involved - having jumped ship to direct the new Superman turd... I mean movie...

                Also we see no official notice of some of the necessary returning cast... most notably James Marsden...
