    House votes NASA 50th anniversary coins...

    The 50th anniversary coins are to include small amounts of metal from historic spacecraft;

    The United States Mint came one step closer this week to striking a new series of gold and silver coins containing metal that flew on historic spacecraft.

    Should be a profitable little venture for the govt.. if it isn't profitable, that's pretty pathetic.

      Note that the first $1,000,000 goes to the NASA family support fund. The rest goes to the Smithsonian to help maintain historic aircraft/spacecraft and to the Treasury for a history of money museum.

        Between being a coin collector and my association with the space program, you know I'll be picking up some of these collectibles.
