I'd definitely venture that it is indeed an air conditioner.

        Liquid Snake wins err, something.
All A/C here is split system stuff. All rooms that might need an A/C already have the hole in the wall.
I was lucky this place already has 2of3. the PC room doesn't have an A/C but I can install one for about $600 or so, and its mine to take with me to the next place I move to.

as for the floor plan pic size, meh I put that up ages ago for a few other people. and size wasn't an issue at the time

            Hey, congrats!
            It looks practical...
(my studio has quite a lot of wasted space due to a long corridor, and it has the bed in a corner of the living room)

Let's be realistic: A couple of Aussies travelling abroad? You ain't never gonna see that room again When's their first shift in the local student bar?

(Just on the off-chance it isn't a global phenomenon (I typed that word 6 times), Aussie back-packers frequently come to the UK and work in bars for a while. We love it. They are bred for it.)

The female, is an old friend from Uni, took her 7 years for a dual degree, she has CFS. is also the woman who did my wedding pics.
Fantastic photographer, just has to take it easy, her huby is also a pro photographer. Does lots of band work, car shows etc, just a quiet season, and its their first non work related holiday.
