help me figure out this song

It sounds like it could be by Matchbox Twenty. But I can't figure out what it is.

I've heard it on the radio a couple of times and each time I wasn't able to catch the song name or band.

Part of the chorus has a lyric that goes like this "joyous... that sh*t spreads"?

The voice is kind of obscured so I could be completely wrong on the words. I hope I'm not because then I'd really be SOL.

ok, so i looked through the billboard charts but it wasn't much help... too many charts, too many songs i've never heard of...

i don't have that service on my cell phone. one of the other telcos offers it. not mine.

does anyone have any clue what the song could be?

You could for example search for Matchbox Twenty at last.fm and see similar artists, perhaps it's among them. This service builts its database/recommendtation on listening habits of others... You could even run last.fm player, settingit to play similar artists to Matchbox Twenty and perhaps you'll eventually run into it...
And there's also one service that recommends music based on their direct musical similarity, w8 a minute...

Last.fm can be even more - just install plugin in your player, wait for it to built up a profile and see what it will suggest to you
