      Cola bottles were originally 2.11 quarts, but when the metric system came about people figured they could save on a little ink by just saying 2 liters instead since it was so close.

          Actually, I remember Coke coming in quart bottles. Single servings were 16oz, 10oz, and 6 1/2 oz, with cans being 12oz.
