The Welsh support two teams when it comes to rugby. Wales of course, and anyone else playing England

That's news to me. Christopher Ecclestone quit after series one (resulting in a rejigging of the last episode) claiming he didn't want to be type-cast. Maybe 'exhaustion' is a euphemism for something I didn't see.

His replacement is David Tennant. AFAIK he's still committed, and he is a rising star atm with several hit shows to his name. There has been talk of Billie Piper (who plays sidekick Rose) quitting. Do you have any links about Tennant quitting? Nothing on the BBC site I can see.

I don't remember where I read that. Maybe the forums at TV.com.

Tennant has promised to stay until the Beeb or the fans want him to leave. And after th Christmas special I can't see that being for a while

Billie Piper doesn't get on with the crew or Russell T Davis (apparently) and is leaving the show at the end of season 2.

that's what I hear. Possibly from the BBC themselves.

That is what I hear about Billie. It seems reasonable to me for one Doctor to have several sidekicks anyway. And she is a bit annoying. Perhaps she could die at the hands of the cybermen

Billie Piper isn't really known over here. I take it she's a pop singer?

She was, and was married to Chris Evans (infamous TV presenter / DJ) for a while.

Didn't she start life in Eastenders or similar misery-based UK soap opera? I'm sure that she didn't spring fully formed into a pop career, not with her 'skills' as a singer 8-).

That was pretty much the creepiest courtship I've ever been forced to watch on TV (her and Chris Evans)

                      She's either seperated or divorced.

Although I think this thread is wandering slightly off topic

She is separated from Chris, but they are good friends. They will divorce as soon as some legal time period elapses.
