Don't worry about hjacking it schmo, it seems somewhat relative to the topic...

Just try and keep it peaceful, otherwise, yeah the Temp might be a better place.

      Ok Brian,

The thread seems to be ours.

Please elaborate on your point. I didn't understand what you were trying to say.

Rest assured that I will be exceedingly respectful and peaceful, to use JW's term.

I hope that you will show me that same respect.
      P.S. You've been Spanked!

No no, Brian. They can discuss Islam with YOU.

They can explain how they feel about Islam to YOU.

They just can't do so, to other Muslims, in a Mosque. Or in a newspaper. Or in any public place.

Because it'll get ugly. That's the problem here.

The "real" problems are a bunch of mired-in-the-middle-ages so-called-Christian retroverts trying to impose their will on the rest of society.

Wrong.. that's the diversion. They have very little impact on things, and they are not the only group trying to impose their will upon society. There are many other groups which are far more effective. So effective that they can successfully deflect any criticism anyone dares to mount by thoroughly defaming the criticizer.. or better yet, by having their trained zombies do it for them. Do you have some particular reason for pumping up this barrage balloon with such regularity?

Ah yes. And they say things like "let's not play the blame game" and "support our troops" and "it's for the children, you're not against children, are you?"

As the richest people get richer and the poorest get poorer, tax breaks and un-bidded contracts handed out, and there's "pre-emptive strikes" and "Patriot" Acts, who the hell do you think is trying to impose their will?

Corruption as usual with a neocon twist? Just more banality within the scope of the accepted norm.

Two unfounded wars, "enemy combatants," tax breaks for the rich during RECORD debt and RECORD defecits, the fact that DeLay only now has given up control, Patriot crap, secret wiretaps, and refusal to hand over legitimate FOIA requests and Enron documents are not "usual." And all of the "war" powers, and DHS, and everything else, and we still left New Orleans out to drown. They're a disgrace, and only a brief touch on the acts of this administration.

                              Makes good points though IMO.

I have a feeling that history will not be exceedingly kind to GWB. A lot depends on the eventualy outcome of various efforts still in progress.

I wonder who the Republicans with have run next. I hope that it's McCain or someone like him.
