If you participate, Microsoft loads an application that then transmits regular data about how you use MS products. They claim this is not spyware. For me, that IS spyware, even if it is not necessarily malicious. However, it would worry me, because crackers and hackers probably have found the way to use it to their advantage, as it does have everything that smacks of a Trojan Horse.
