Watched a few episodes, but I really need to go back and watch from the start. The last episode I saw, which I think was the one before last, was pretty good.

I watched one episode. It was last year (or was it the year before?) after the Super Bowl. These terrorists wrecked a train and were gonna kill some teen girl. It had me so pissed off I couldn't watch again. That and the ads that popped up and ruined the flow of things.. just need to watch it on DVD perhaps.

Well, as I recall, the train wreck and the killing of the girl happened several episodes apart...

The funny thing about 24 is that they rely on tech quite a bit but the way they implement it makes no sense.

I get the feeling that it's like Star Trek were the script writers just write "tech" whenever they need some mumbo jumbo and they expect the AV guys to fill in the blanks for them. But, in this case, their AV guys are idiots.

They use standard networking/internet/security terminology all wrong. I remember telling someone that it's like the characters have some sort of tech terms only form of turrets.

I remember the first couple of seasons every was “I need a protocol for this” and “I don’t have a protocol for that” (using the term protocol completely in the wrong context). Lately, if I recall correctly, it’s all “socket this” and “socket that” and “opening a socket to division” every 5 minutes.

Anyway... all that aside, I love the show.

In my head I just pretend that what they said makes sense and follow the show as if all is right with the world.

Bauer is like the ultimate American James bond for this generation.

He’s just such a hero.

I find Keifer’s performance completely engrossing.

I'm about half way through episode 11.

Man, I hate this President. He's so weak willed.

He's a good contrast to Palmer though.

I guess you could say that I love to hate him.

Yeah holy crap... the writers for 24 certainly aren't afraid to kill off people that have been around for a while and you got used to having in the show.
Thats got to be one of the best writing teams in terms of plot and character development for any network show.

Made me sit up and bear witness. I watched the first three seasons on DVD and have been watching season five. It keeps you guessing. Any spoilers allowed?
