Of course he is serious. It's a free country and if someone wants to be mutilated by another person who hasn't a clue how to do it properly, then he should be allowed to do so. He would in fact be doing his community a service, as we can thereafter be sure that he won't transmit his sick genes to any progeniture. Especially as there is a fairish chance that he will die of septicaemia within a week or two.

I don't know if Brian is serious, but I sure was, and I could sign his posting. As long as no public healthcare has to pay for those people, where's the problem?

Practicing medicine without a license, especially surgical medicine, is illegal....that's why. Here in Michigan it's a felony and last I checked you can get up to four years. This doesn't even count the penalties for posessing any drugs like anesthetics, xylocaine etc.

Of course if someone dies or has a serious secondary issue the charges accumulate up to various degrees homicide or assault.

And no: the "patient" doesn't have to complain. The state can file charges dispite a lack of cooperation by them.

Some would say that people who are unbalanced or mentally deficient need to be protected from themselves.. the same logic applies when people think insane or retarded people should be exempt from the death penalty.
