Exactly! Why didn't he inject her with the "cure" instead of killing her? Oh, well.. what would her life be like knowing she had disintegrated a couple hundred people, including the two to whom she was closest in this world? That was so incredibly sad, the biggest letdown of the movie was that there was not nearly enough feeling of how horribly sad and awful that was.

BTW, Too bad Rebecca Romijn had to fall face down when she got injected!

Well, she did let him kill her, in fact it's what she wanted. I'm not so sure she would have let him simply cure her. Knowing the ending glimpse of the movie also requires that she die instead of be 'cured'

But yes, there was a lack of emotion in areas of the film, where a deep sense of it should have been displayed.

Too much of a cheap ending. Woman dies in man's arm and man cries out in emotional pain.

I wonder if the will ever do an Apocalypse movie???

I doubt they'll throw Apocalypse in before the get a chance to throw Sinister into the mix first. The movie is too big to throw both in, and you can't set up Apocalypse properly without setting Sinister up first.

And anyway, now Jean and Scott are "dead", they can be brought back by Sinister or something and hint towards the Apocalypse...

Anyway, just letting my imagination run wild there.

I was really with the film up until the point Charles got dusted.

After that it kinda lost me.

Also - if the cure is only temporary then the good guys came out of the movie a hell of a lot worse off than the bad guys.

I think a fourth film would need to go in a very odd direction to redress the balance a bit.

Supposedly there won't BE a fourth film.

Plus, y'all have to remember that she's not REALLY dead, just the evil version. The good version is in a suspended animation pod on the bottom of the ocean.

And they'll all get resurrected by an Aboriginal guru making a dimension gate via the dreamtime anyway, don'tchaknow?

Never underestimate the desire of the studios for a sure thing, meaning this is all too good a setup not to be taken advantage of.

Perhaps this will be done by centering on individual or smaller groups of mutants in several sequals (Wolverine, Magneto etc.), perhaps in another huge extravaganza. Maybe a mix of both; do some individual stories then wrap it all up in a mega-film.

Depends on which way they think the beans will best fall for them, and Fox is anything but stupid in these things.

One thing is for certain: the fastest way to get the fans screaming for another film is to say catagorically that you won't make it, especially when the last installment was a major hit

Just heard on an interview this morning on a local statin with Hugh Jackman this morning that he wore a costume home on Halloween and went around with his son that was also dressed up as wolverine. He got many long looks from people when they realized he was the "real" Wolverine.

Well it's already been stated that there will be at the very least a Wolverine movie, with the expectation that other character-centric movies will follow. Wolverine is obviously a perfect candidate for a solo film given that he's already covered that ground in comic-form.

Several actors, especially Halle Berry, have stated they would gladly reprise their roles in the future.

I doubt we'll see another "X-Men" movie for at least the near future. When a new one comes around, I'm going to bet it won't be with the same actors as we have now.

I agree.. this film had a $120 million opening weekend. That guarantees another one.

                            Good old the Internet.

I've just noticed that there is a 10 second scene at the end of the credits that slightly redresses the balance of 'by the end everybody is dead'. If it hadn't been 1am when the film finished I'd probabaly have stuck around and seen it.
