        Yeah, given it was developed during, I assume, the late 1970's and early 80's (emphasis on developed and not just distributed), I can see how something like this could happen. But to continue to and actively contribute to letting it happen is horrid.

        It may, according to the Bayer representative(s), have been two decades ago, but I'm definitely not going to be contributing to their bottom line from this point on.

            Not only are corporations legally "persons," but they are persons above the law. Bayer knows, as does any corporation, that they can do anything they want to with impunity because they own the legislature. The only responsibility they have is to profits.
