The blade part of the katana is the strongest part of the sword, the results are not surprizing.
I take Jodo which is closely related to Iaido etc, so I ask the Sensei's questions about the swords etc, and they tell me the Katana can cut through bone like it's tissue.
But if you hit the Katana on it's side, it will break like a biscut.
