    More Star Trek news;

    Just confirmed that there is a script for the Star Trek XI movie (2008).

    Filming starts in 2007.

    Director/Producer: J. J. Abrams (Lost, Alias, MI-III)
    Screenplay: Alex Kurtzman
    Screenplay: Roberto Orci

    Actors mentioned: Matt Damon, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Daniel Craig, Greg Grunberg, Kevin Weisman, James McAvoy and Zachary Quinto

    Shatner and Nimoy have been granted "some approval power" over any recasting of their Star Trek characters.

            Shatner and Nimoy have been granted "some approval power" over any recasting of their Star Trek characters.
            I should think they'd be worth their weight in gold as "Character Consultants" regardless of who is eventually cast.
