My mothers knee gives way. It's very swollen at the moment. She's now in bed great anything else to go wrong?????

This just happened to me, Torn cartilage and some other funky stuff going on according to the X-rays.
I can no longer train in Aikido until I have surgery, when? I'll find out tomorrow.
Yes my left knee got swollen and there is a huge pocket of fluid build up right under my knee
So I can sympathize with your mother as it's happening to me right now

Had something similar happen after I had knee surgery. About a month after mine swelled up and had to be drained of fluid. The doctors never did have an explanation for exactly what caused it to happen, which is somewhat scary, but almost 10 years later all is well with it.
