it may be, but the site itself seem bland enough

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

Saw it yesterday, and aside from the long love scene, it was good.

I'm probabely going to see it.

Am I the only one that liked Timothy Dalton as James Bond (The Living Daylights, License to kill,...)?
IMO, esp. Living Daylights already had a back to basics kind of thing...

He was a breath of fresh air after that poser Roger Moore.. Half the time you thought he was a male model on a fashion shoot. And all the gimmicks.. half the Moore films are live action cartoons.

I liked Dalton, but I'm not sure I would have liked him to continue on as Bond longer than he did. It's hard to compete against the likes of Connery and Brosnan though.

Still waiting to see this new one, but I have a feeling that even if I like it, I would still rather have seen Pierce continue on with Bond, but with a harder edge (like he wanted to do).

I liked the Ipcress files with whatever his name is. Michael Caine. That was sort of bond was it not?

After seeing it, there isn't a single actor I would rather have as Bond, not even Piernce - not for this style.

Oh, I dunno. I still would have liked Clive Owen, but Mr. Craig did JUST FINE in this, and it was a great back-to-basics, old-school Bond. I would have liked to see "Q" though. *sigh*

                          What no "Q"

Oh well, I still haven't seen it, wifey and kids have been sick the past 2 weeks, more so the wifey. I haven't been getting much sleep and the weekends have been catch up days.
                          Laundry can sure pile up.
Hope the worst is over and things will get back to normal for next week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for next weekend to see the movie.

No Q? No John Cleese? What kind of Bond movie is this?

The more I read here, the less inclined I am to see it (at least until the DVD comes out).

@Rhinoz - Hope things improve on the home front. We've all been under-the-weather to varying degrees here as well.

I really do like Owen, but I have a hard time seeing him as Bond. There's just a sort of brutish quality that he exudes. Of course, that would be great for a film where Bond really has to dole out some punishment and say "f*ck" every five minutes

No "Q" and Dench as "M". Does seem a bit odd for a movie that is supposed to be a prequel of sorts. *shrug*

It's more like a "Bond Beings" like Batman Begins. Anything goes with this one.
