    My new favorite show: House MD

    Absolutely love it! With all the garbage on tv there are very few shows that catch my attention anymore, but House definitely has. Only seen 5 or 6 episodes so far, but gets 5 out of 5 hamburgers from me.

    I've become sick of the action/soap opera that ER has become, sick of CSI (possibly because the rest of my family divides their time between watching CSI and Home and Garden TV all day), don't even get me started on CSI Miama or any Law and Order.

    House and Rescue Me are the only hour-long shows to really pique my interest in the last few years, and even Rescue Me doesn't do it for me anymore. It focuses too much on their romance stories now.

    Now I just hope that House can keep me interested beyond the 5 or 6 episodes I have seen.

    (as for half hour shows, settling for Seinfeld, SouthPark, Simpsons (not so much the recent ones), Family Guy, Stewart & Colbert is fine with me).

      Simpsons has jumped the shark.

      My theory is that all the best writers are working on the new Futurama season.

                  House is definitely a favorite in this household. I think the appeal definitely rests with Hugh Laurie's near perfect portrayal of the flawed Gregory House more than anything else.

                  That said, the episodes do tend to become a tad repetitive and extremely formulaic over the seasons. It's not unexpected and the show continues to be enjoyable if you were a fan to begin with, but I fear it will go the way of ER sooner than later.

                              Ditto. I've watched about 10 episodes now. Still enjoyable though.

                                              Thank god for DVR. Still watching season 5 of 24 via Netflix, so I doubt I'll get those through with by the time season 6 starts.
