The only answer I got was:

    1) It’s easy, just like playing another game on PS3 or XBOX 360, but very realistic game.

    2) There are NO consequences, prisoners have better life provided to them then many poor have on their own

    3) If there is no God, there is no Hell as well. So, if you end your life, there are still No consequences after you die too.

Well, now it seems there may have been more than one shooter.

Same gun used in both attacks.
The shooter was an English major from Korea.
A year and a half before before Cho Seung-Hui went on a deadly shooting spree on the campus of Virginia Tech, a professor was so concerned about his anger that she took him out of another teacher's creative writing class and taught him one-on-one.

@ND66 Trying to plug the motivations of a crazy person into real world logic is chasing a rabbit down a hole.

You’re more likely to do something you shouldn’t if you know there is no consequence of doing it.

        For example:

How many of married couples would stay faithful to each other if the divorce wasn’t the ultimate consequence of it?

That kind of thinking simply doesn't apply to crazy people's reasoning, or lack thereof.

That's just wacky on so many levels.

See, I don't think he was crazy at all.

I think he was mad as hell.

The first shooting was deliberate action. The second probably not, I’ll call it act of desperation.

But let wait and see what the investigators will say about that.

Who knows what was going on through his mind, blamed his failures on society and wanted to go out with a bang... I'd also go with mad as hell. And probably depressed ?

I have no words to describe the tragedy, this is a situation that also lets us mad and searching for culprits (how did he get a gun into the campus ?...) and ways to prevent future tragedies.

                    ...

A doctor at a Blacksburg hospital described the injuries he saw Monday as "amazing" and the shooter as "brutal."

"There wasn't a shooting victim that didn't have less than three bullet wounds in them," said Dr. Joseph Cacioppo of Montgomery Regional Hospital.

Anyone who reacts to anger by shooting more than 50 unarmed strangers qualifies as crazy.
That is not a rational reaction to life's frustrations.

Craziness does exist as long as human race does.

Killing innocent people does exist as long as the race too. But centuries ago you could get away with it because the news couldn’t travel as quick and far as in today’s world.

Today, everyone trying to do this, first they try to keep it quiet, like in Kosovo, or the Kurds, ETC.

Individuals that want to get fames for it…….. like there is a hole in the part of the brain responsible for rational thinking.

Since the only hole in his brain got there later, after he put a bullet thru his brain, what got him NUMB in that part of the brain to even consider doing that?

There has to be a different term/condition for it, craziness is just a very generic word & if we had every crazy person do it………. .

And I’d say it’s strictly related to today’s society’s life style.

About 3.6% of US adults (7.6 million people) are reported to have antisocial personality disorder and probably twice that many have other serious mental disorders, amounting in all to about 2x the population of Los Angeles. He was also reported to have been on antidepressants, to have set fires in the dorm and had been stalking several women, so he probably fell into this group. He was also considered a loner, which is common with this kind of crime.

                          Article....

A note believed to have been written by Cho was found in his dorm room that railed against "rich kids," "debauchery" and "deceitful charlatans" on campus.
Also: "You caused me to do this,"

                          Signed "Ismail Ex"

Other than the victims and their families you know who I feel sorry for? The Korean community. They are largely traditional, industrious and SO family/culture oriented that it's my impression that they'll internalize this and feel collective shame over it. I certainly hope not, but my dealings with Koreans give me the feeling this is the case.

A pity. This was a very disturbed person whose family and culture should not bear blame or shame.

                          That aside: "Ismail Ex"? Hmm....
