Announced at Cannes. As part of the movie deal the two original Barbarella books written and illustrated by Jean-Claude Forest back in the early 1960s wil be reissued along with the publication of material previously unreleased in English.

Barbarella: Could a remake be as bad (or at least as campy) as the original? Depends on who is Barbarella. An earlier report named Drew Barrymore. That would be somewhat watchable.

The Long Good Friday: If one is going to remake a relatively unknown gangster movie into something bloody and modern and edgy and action-packed, Paul Anderson is a good choice for director.

The Dam Busters: No one to trust for the dignified treatment this deserves except Peter Jackson (or maybe Spielberg), unless he's totally gone Hollywood.
