So who's got the Harry Potter book

My wife did the whole line up thing at midnight, came home and didn't go to bed till after 100 pages and 2:30am.
The kids made a card for her and in it is a "Get out of the house card". We got her a hotel room and a bag full of snacks for her to disappear and enjoy the book in peace and quiet. I knew it was going to be all about Harry this weekend anyways.
Enjoy the long read.

Either that, or she'll have to find a new excuse ...

Just kidding.
Those that have it: enjoy!

It was just "ok," and felt like it was written in a real hurry or absentmindedly. I liked the first two books of the series, but afterwards kinda went down hill, IMHO.
Darth Vader is Luke's father!
Frodo and Sam succeed in their quest to destroy the ring!
Harry Potter is actually a Terminator sent back in time to kill Dumboldore!
I have long maintained that Rowling never intended to write any sequels to the first Harry Potter book, or maybe the first two. That she's been COMPLETELY making stuff up off the cuff since then.

I liked it up to the point where she killed off Sirius after that It felt like she had tired of writing it but continued due to contract obligations...

You bastard! By finding out what happened in it, but not actually paying for the book itself, you have committed a most heinous form of copyright violation!

Seriously, I bet the book companies just hate the fact that someone can read a book and then just give it away to someone else and still remember what they read...

It astonishes me the dichotomy of pricing on this novel. Target had it for $15.99, that's where we got it. That beats our Barnes & Noble "member" pricing of $17.99 by a couple bucks. Most places it was $19.99, but at CVS it was $34.99!

My sister works at Wal-Mart and she saw it for ~$18 and ~$36. There must be some sort of Special Edition.

Read the wikipedia article if you must know. Things are confirmed. People die.

"People die" is kind of an understatement: Characters get killed left and right, often not even "on screen," which is rather cheap.

And on a related issue: apparently the person who took pictures of the book forgot (or just didn't know) to strip the EXIF out of the JPEGs before posting them on the internet, and it turns out the serial number of the Canon 350D used is on each photo.
