Turn the shower off after you have got wet and apply cleaning product. And then turn on shower just for rinse.

Leave the shower on all the time?

I know I'm somewhat wasting water when others don't have enough to drink, but that's not what I always think of when I'm in the shower.

With modern sewage reclamation... either your area has water or your area doesn't have water. You running the shower on hot isn't wasteful of water, it's wasteful of energy to heat the water. The fact that people who live in arid areas don't have enough clean water is not going to be affected in the slightest by your shower - but you might be hurting the planet by wasting gas/oil/electricity.

Wrong way round for us. We have abundant heat from the sun to scald oneself, but we don't have water! And our waste goes into a septic tank (Grey water systems or sewers have not caught on here yet). However, I admit to B for the shower, although I make it as fast as possible. I use A for things like teeth-brushing, hand-washing etc.

I've decided that my main wasteful activity will be taking a nice warm/hot shower in the morning. I do conserve somewhat with a low-flow shower head, and I also skip days from time to time (could be TMI - oh well).

B and no waste of energy here, we have lots of sunlight to give you boling hot water at almost any hour during the warmer months of the year.
During the winter, I sometimes switch to A.
