But now that I'm older and without a job, I've decided to do photography full time. I'm going to tour at art shows across the country and see how that goes. But first i need a name for my photography buisness.

So i've went on a rampage this week and bought three domain names, just in case i need them.

I thought of a couple names but theres mixed feelings among my family members. Especially one of my sisters. Every time i tell her a name shes like "what the hell are you thinking"

So I figured I would use the collective to throw some names out there.

So the facts.

Photography based out of Louisville, KY (for now)
the area code here is 502.
Its the bluegrass area.
bluegrass photography is already taken.



so the names i came up with myself are:

and thats it. Apparently no one likes those.

BlueGrass Portraits & Imaging sounds good to me, but "Imaging" would depend on your doing restorations, blowups & other services.

Numbers etc. aren't intuitive.

The Irish and horses are synonyms - so maybe something along those lines - even Gaelic perhps ?

The 502's are very 'eh'. I like the Bluegrass one but why make it region specific. Make it about you. What's your first memory taking photos? What was going on the first time you realized that photography was something you really loved and wanted to do more of? Make it personal but at the same time interesting to others? You already know how to do this with photos. There is that undefinable something that makes something just a snapshot that only the people involved would care about, and making it an art shot or have universal appeal. If you can apply that same instinct and care to the name instead of thinking in a business context (but still be sensitive to it after the fact) you'll go a long way.
