Landed once at Manchester with a terrific crosswind. The pilot literally slammed the plane hard onto the ground. It's a wonder he didn't burst all the tyres.
On another occasion, with a strong wind (don't know the direction), the aircraft bounced 5 times before settling on the ground. The captain stood by the front doorway as we disembarked. I asked him innocently whether the flight time counts to the first or last time he hit the ground! Not appreciated!
Another flight Attendant's comment on a less than
perfect landing: "We ask you to please remain seated as
Captain Kangaroo bounces us to the terminal."
"For every action, there is an equal and opposite criticism."
