PS May have been ground crew failure. there is a comment that he forgot to put on some bolts when he mounted the wing for the show and it basically slid off during the flat spin.
He'll have another one built by next year.

Actually, for me, doing such manouvers on a model of...B-29 ruins this a bit. It generally looks quite realistic, dynamically, in levelled flight or during slow/calm manouvers...but the he destroys this little suspension of disbelief when performing things that no real B-29 could really do...

(and somebody must finally figure out how to add to realism with proper sounds
Dunno, electric model with accoustic emitters? One big central engine?)
