    Mail in rebates

    We don't have them here, so I have no experience with them.
    What's the point in having them? Why sell something for $150 and MIR $20 afterwards instead of simply selling for $130?
    Unless of course those MIR are coupons good only for buying from that specific retailer.

    Obvious! 90% don't bother sending them in because it's a hassle.
