I remember running the Mandelbrot set on my Amstrad CPC 6128 many years ago.
It took hours, and I had to stay awake to see it, since there was no way of saving the pic or anything, just creating it and displaying it.
One pixel at a time, in 160x200, and it took quite a few hours

I DID take a polaroid of it that i still have somewhere

Ooohhh! So did I!
And then to see it draw it line by line, pixel by pixel (and slowing down at more complex points)... Agonizing!
Or playing around with some parameters, and you again had to wait hours just to see you messed it up...

I remember it drawing each pixel, one at a time, and waiting eagerly (for the first few hours) for each pixel to appear.....

The first time I did it, I went to bed expecting it to still be displayed on the screen, and it had closed to picture !!!

I had to sit and wait the second time....thats why the polaroid, I have no idea what time it was, but very very late
