It is a nice city (I've been there once), but unfortunately I do no anything about it to recommend things... A few hours is not that much, it might depend where the bus halts...Comment

I've driven through Liege about 12 times and was always glad either not to be there yet or to be through it already. Looked ugly, smelled bad, felt wrong.
I am told that it is actually a nice place once you leave the highway-route-through-town.

If you are close: they have a brand now train station, designed by the Spanish architect Calatrava.
Umf: yes, I can understand that comment, but the city does have nice places and has improved a lot over the years.Comment
