          Detroit tried to kill me today. Was flying home and had a layover in Detroit. The wind was trying to knock the plane off the runway during landing.

              DTW can have that problem at times. The strongest wind ever recorded near there was during a 1980 derecho: 150 mph just to the east. We lost a roof, 3 trees and had no line power for 2 weeks. Thank God for generators.
