    "Polar Vortex" - 2015 edition

    Yeah-yeah, overused term.

    Friday we had a wind chill of -14°F (-25.56°C), much colder in the rest of the state, and it'll be colder today.

    Methinks were going to have somewhat of a rerun of 2014

    Based on the current temps on Mars,

        By contrast, here in Poland we have one of the warmest winters... Currently nearly 10°C (50°F), where the normal January average is -2°C (28°F), with low January average -4° (25°F) and high 0°C (32°F).

        There has been some frost, down to -9°C or so, but just a few times this winter. Quite a contrast with my first winter here, 5 years ago, when there was an officially measured -30°C (-22°F) during the day...
