    SR-71 cockpit checkout

    A correction in the video, Rich said the navigation map was from a 16mm film, he meant 35mm.

    Richard Graham was nice enough to give us a cockpit checkout in both the pilot and RSO stations. We shot this on location at the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Love Field Dallas Texas. This simulator was used to train every operational SR pilot before they ever set foot in the actual plane.

      Nice!
      The cockpit looks surprisingly low-tech and dare I say primitive (it is such a contrast with the futuristic sci-fi look of the outside), but then again first flight of this plane was over 50 years ago.
