This is a copy of my post on the matrox support forum:
I am working on getting Xv extension working on MIllennium II.
This code is still in alpha stage. Only hardware YUV->RGB conversion is currently implemented, scaling is not supported yet. All 4 FOURCC formats supported by X should be supported. It has been tested only on my DEC DPW 500a at 1400x1050x32 under linux 2.4.17 with XFree86 4.1.0
I posted a diff for mga_video.c of XFree86 4.1.0 at: http://www.penguintown.net/~gorlik/xf410_mga_video.diff
Bug reports and success/failure stories are greatly appreciated.
